Description

Job Purpose: The Hydraulic Diagnostic Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting of all piling rigs, vibro-hammers, hydraulic excavators, drilling rigs and related equipment in a safe working and timely manner. Main Responsibilities: • Inspect all allied machinery and equipment • Oversee the preventive and predictive maintenance on allied machinery and equipment • Troubleshoot and ensure regular maintenance to avoid breakdown of machinery and equipment • Take remedial action and repair machinery and equipment in case of breakdown • complete daily maintenance and repair logs and report to the Workshop Supervisor or Assistant Workshop Manager on a daily basis • Communicate with other employees regularly • Maintain and secure work tools • Clean and maintain work area • Turn off and isolate equipment when not in use • Follow all safety operating procedures for handling machinery, tools and work areas • Attend to other emergencies as may be required to safeguard machinery, property and life • always adhere to all safety policies imposed by ACTION • Order spare parts from manuals as necessary • Report condition of equipment and machinery to the supervisor or Assistant Workshop Manager • Perform back-up for field maintenance as and when required • Perform back-up for workshop and yard facilities as and when required • Plan daily work schedules, employee transferrals and support manpower planning requirements • Provide on-the-job training to employees as required • Monitor performance of subordinates against their roles and responsibilities • Provide a mentoring role to all employees in the Mechanical Team Working Conditions: • Working conditions are subject to change at the discretion of the management in relation to the company requirements. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes, hardhats and coveralls supplied by the company.
